Shoe damaged by driving – didn’t use a Heel Shield
BLACK HEEL – that bumpy black spot where the original leather finished is scuffed off and the underlying leather is blacken by the dirt, sand, rock and other debris that gathers on the car mat where you rest your foot while driving. (Just like the shoe in the picture.) Once damaged – the shoe cannot be repaired. That is why Heel Shields were invented – NO MORE BLACK HEEL!
Drivers have tried lots of ways to protect their shoes and prevent BLACK HEEL. Many inventors before me have tried to develop a shoe protection device as effective and easy to use as the Heel Shield. However, none of the other models of shoe protection products have been easy to use and none of the other products work for men and women’s shoes, boots and athletic shoes. The Heel Shield will protect most of your shoes easily – slip or place the heel shield on before you drive and and slip it off before you leave your car.
Winter car mats are the worse. The mats become wet and full of road salt and are even worse for your shoes.
In the winter, car mats become soaked with melted snow and salt. Drivers use towels or other items to provide a protective barrier between their shoes and the car mats.
However, The Heel Shield provides the perfect barrier protecting your footwear from scuffing and staining. Unlike some new products on the market that snap around your ankle, car mats on towels used to soak up the water, Heel Shields won’t become wet and your shoes (and pant leg) will stay nice and dry.
“Why not use driving shoes?”
Driving shoes are very expensive and not very stylist – the heel shield costs under $20. Also they are not made for walking and wear out quickly if used as everyday shoes.
“I keep an old shoe in the car for driving”
A “change” shoe is not very convenient. It takes much more to change your shoes or expensive boots in the car than it does to slide on a heel shield. In the winter months, changing shoes in a cold car with wet mats is not fun.
The driver who is in and out of their car multiple times per day (i.e., sales representatives, and real estate professionals, etc.) doesn’t want to change each time they make a stop. And, of course, the first time you don’t change you scuff your shoes.
The Heel Shield eliminates the need for changing shoes – just slide The Heel Shield on prior to driving and remove The Heel Shield at the destination.
It takes two seconds to use a Heel Shield –
- (second-1) slide or place the Heel Shield on the shoe
- (second-2) DRIVE!
“Look at my car mats!”
Do you press your heels into the mat causing holes in your mat over time? With a heel shield, drivers can easily rest their foot on the car mat without the fear of scuffing or staining or putting holes in their car mats
Leave The Heel Shield in the car ready to use. The same Heel Shield will work on her shoes as well as his.
“I drive barefoot!”
Driving barefoot will protect the outside of the shoe; however, it will cause you to have dirty feet and dirty the inside of your shoes. The Heel Shield eliminates the need to drive barefoot. (And, if you insist on driving barefoot – the Heel Shield will still protect your heel.)
“Will the Heel Shield protect my heels, flats and cowboy boots?”
Go ahead ladies and wear your sling backs and heels, your Louboutins and your Jimmy Choo’s, your Manolo’s and your Brian Atwoods, your Charlotte Olympia’s and Stuart Weitzman’s without fear of the dreaded Black Heel.
Just pick the right heel shield to complement the finish of your shoe. If one heel shield slides off another will stay on depending on the covering and the shoe.
“What about men’s dress and athletic shoes?”
Men, you can wear your dress shoes, your Edmonds and your hand made shoes and your Jordan’s, and LeBron’s and other sneakers of your choice if the heel is not really wide or offset. The Heel Shield will work just as well for you.
“Is the Heel Shield Green?”
The Heel Shield is made from recycled plastic and can be covered with vinyl (what we use the most), leather and most cloth like material. A company logo can be printed across the entire heel shield for your grateful shoe sale customers. Please send an email to info@theheelshield.com for more information about gifting your favorite shoe customers with a heel shield printed with your company name.
