As I decide to pick a finger (toe) shoe to try, I decide to go with a moderately priced shoe versus the high priced originals. I made this decision since I am not a runner and I am not sure I would get my monies worth out of the more expensive shoe. In fact, my first finger shoe purchase resulted in a getting a defective shoe. The shoe had a large gap around the ankle on the left shoe which was really uncomfortable. I had to return them and find a different pair. Since there was a time gap between the purchases, the manufacturer the chance to change the design of the shoe to resolve the problem. And the shoe now has straps to control the fit of the shoe around the entire foot – a great improvement. I picked the
Fila Skeletoes Shoe for my venture into the toe shoe space. I normally wear a size 10 and I ordered a size 10 online. The shoe fits perfectly – better than socks. I find the shoes to be quite comfortable. The top feels like neoprene (wet suit material) and the bottom is plastic. I think the shoe is really comfortable and wear them around the house like a house shoe. I am trying to work up the nerve to wear them outside.
